This inaugural event seeks to shine a spotlight on talented independent directors who often don't receive recognition from prestigious institutions. By providing a platform for these filmmakers, the festival hopes to celebrate their creativity and unique perspectives in music video production.

The Writer's Room was created to continue the work of the Screenwriter's Salon brought to us by Dreams With Friends, Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs. The Writer's Room provides the space for screenwriters to come together to write, edit and expand their knowledge-base. The Screenwriting Salons gave us each other but it's up to us to continue the work -- The Writer's Room will lead the way.
